Compliance inspection for NORSOK, DNV and ATEX engineering projects in Norway

What we do

Compliance-Driven Projects

NORSOK. DNV. Ex. Requirements belong in the design.

When equipment has to meet NORSOK, DNV requirements, ATEX/IECEx principles or a demanding project specification, compliance affects much more than the final inspection. It can influence materials, calculations, components, welding, traceability, testing and documentation from the beginning.

GravityX treats those requirements as engineering inputs — not paperwork to deal with once the equipment is finished.

Full capacity, spread out

The workshops and engineers you need already exist in Norway — finding them yourself is the hard part.

A network we already know

GravityX has mapped who can deliver what, and when, across the country.

One point of contact

You get access to the full network without having to manage it yourself.

Know the requirements before you build

The applicable standard, class requirement and client specification need to be understood early enough to influence the design and manufacturing route.

Build the documentation with the equipment

Material certificates, welding records, inspection reports, calculations and test documentation are much easier to control when they are captured as the work progresses.

Plan for verification

Hold points, inspections, testing and third-party involvement can affect the production sequence. Planning them before fabrication starts reduces the risk of completed work having to be reopened or repeated.

A compliant product starts before the first weld

Consider a fabricated lifting structure where material traceability is required. Ordering a steel grade with the correct mechanical properties is not necessarily enough. The project may also need the correct inspection certificate, documented material identification, qualified welding procedures, qualified personnel, defined NDT and records that connect the finished structure back to the material used.

Discover that after fabrication and the physical structure may look perfectly acceptable while the documentation trail is incomplete. Recovering it can be difficult. Sometimes it cannot be recovered without additional verification or rework.

The same principle applies beyond welding. A hazardous-area requirement can affect equipment selection and interfaces. A DNV verification scope may introduce calculations, document reviews, surveys or witnessed testing at defined stages. NORSOK requirements can influence design choices long before anything reaches the workshop. Which requirements apply depends on the equipment, its use, location and the customer’s project specification — they should never simply be assumed.

That is why GravityX establishes the compliance route as part of the project setup. Engineering, fabrication, documentation and required verification are coordinated around the same basis from the beginning.

You are not buying a finished piece of equipment and then asking how to document it. GravityX manages the project so the required evidence is created along with the equipment itself.
