What we do
Custom Equipment & Fabrication
Some equipment cannot be selected from a catalogue. The dimensions are unusual, the loads are project-specific, the interfaces already exist — or the equipment simply has to do something standard products were never designed to do.
GravityX manages the route from engineering and procurement through fabrication, assembly and testing, using the Norwegian industrial capacity that best fits the job.
Full capacity, spread out
A network we already know
One point of contact
When off-the-shelf won’t do the job.

Designed with the workshop in mind
Fabrication is considered while the equipment is being engineered. Weld access, machining, tolerances, assembly sequence and practical production constraints can influence the design before they become workshop problems.
The right capability for the material and job
Carbon and stainless steels, Duplex grades, specialist alloys, machining, heavy fabrication or precision work require different facilities and qualifications. GravityX matches the scope to suitable manufacturing capability rather than forcing every project through one workshop.
One-off means one-off
A prototype, replacement component or purpose-built machine does not need production volume to become a viable project. The manufacturing route is built around what the equipment actually requires.
The drawing is only part of the delivery
A fabrication project can look straightforward when viewed as a finished 3D model. The difficulties often appear later: a weld cannot be reached, a tolerance drives unnecessary machining, a purchased component changes an interface, or the selected workshop is well equipped for the structure but not for a critical specialist operation.
These are not unusual engineering problems. They are consequences of treating engineering, purchasing and fabrication as separate activities.
GravityX works differently. The project can be divided according to capability: structural fabrication in one facility, specialist machining somewhere else, hydraulic or electrical work where the relevant expertise sits, followed by controlled assembly and testing. To you, it remains one project.
That is especially useful in Norway, where considerable industrial capability is distributed across many engineering companies, machine shops and fabricators rather than concentrated in one factory. A project should not be limited by what happens to fit under one roof.
The result may be a skid, frame, lifting or handling system, reel, winch, foundation, special machine, replacement component or equipment designed for one particular operation. The common denominator is not the product category. It is that the requirement comes first and the manufacturing setup is built around it.
GravityX takes the lead across those interfaces, giving you one route from engineering to finished equipment while using the specialist capacity the project actually needs.
